The SEL-351A Protection System provides primary or backup overcurrent protection for distribution feeders in utility and industrial power systems. SEL documents sensitive phase, negative-sequence, residual and neutral overcurrent elements, directional protection, four-shot reclosing, synchronism and voltage checks, and an impedance-based fault locator. The platform also supports event reporting, sequential events recording, breaker monitoring, metering and configurable communications. Available options can include Ethernet, IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus and IEEE C37.118 synchrophasors.
