Each channel brings a two-state field command into the Woodward control application. Typical logic assignments depend on the controller program and may include permissives, interlocks, status contacts or operator commands. In a Woodward manual example using a nine-node LINKnet arrangement, the 9905-971 discrete-input node is assigned network address 7; other compatible control applications may use different designated addresses.
Do not copy an address from a generic example. Record the installed node address and confirm it against the actual control application before replacement.

The two references use different network architectures. Do not treat 8200-1204 as a plug-in direct replacement for 9905-971. Woodward states that migration requires hardware and software changes.

Can 8200-1204 directly replace it?
