Operational Modes of Yokogawa PW301/PW302 Sensors
The Yokogawa PW301 and PW302 sensors offer flexible relay control with two operational modes: Manual ON and Auto ON, configurable via DIP switches. In Manual ON mode (DIP 8 ON for Relay 1, DIP 9 ON for Relay 2 in PW-302), the load requires manual activation via the ON/OFF button and remains ON until no motion is detected for the set time delay. A 30-second re-trigger delay ensures the load reactivates if motion is sensed during this period; otherwise, manual intervention is needed. In Auto ON mode (DIP switches OFF), the load operates automatically based on occupancy. However, if manually turned OFF, Presentation Mode prevents automatic reactivation until the button is pressed again, ensuring user control. Notably, the PW-302’s DIP 9 defaults to ON to comply with CA Title 24 bi-level switching, while the PW-301 ignores Switch 9. These modes provide adaptable lighting control for energy efficiency and user convenience.
