8810-HI-TX Functional Description
The General Electric 8810-HI-TX Safety Analog Input Module is a SafetyNet IO Module specifically designed for use in safety-critical systems where reliability and compliance with SIL 2 standards are required. Each module connects to field wiring through dedicated terminals and is mounted on carriers that handle both mechanical support and internal communication. The SafetyNet ANALOGUE INPUT MODULE 8810-HI-TX General Electric is certified under a 1oo1D architecture, ensuring dependable safety operation without relying on “proven-in-use” data, reflecting the robust design excellence it offers.
The 8810-HI-TX 8-channel Safety Analog Input General Electric features full internal diagnostics to continuously verify the module’s performance. If a failure that could impair safety is detected, the module performs a controlled shutdown. This shutdown deactivates all input scanning and output energizing, ensuring the module enters a failsafe state while logging data to help identify the root cause of the issue.
Bussed Field Power (BFP) is delivered via rear connectors and must be 24 VDC, supplied by MTL’s 8914-PS-AC units. The GE FANUC CONTROL PLATFORMS 8810-HI-TX supports live maintenance in hazardous areas, allowing modules to be replaced without affecting other system parts.
Additionally, the Power Contractor General Electric 8810-HI-TX provides continuous line fault monitoring, enhancing overall system safety and reliability in FB-8800 logic solver environments.

Reliable Integration with Safety System Wiring
SafetyNet IO Modules are engineered to connect seamlessly with safety system field wiring through designated Field Terminals. These modules, along with their terminals, are mounted on robust Carriers that serve a dual purpose: providing structural support and ensuring stable connections to both the internal communication bus and power supply lines. This streamlined integration facilitates efficient signal and power transmission throughout the safety system. Designed specifically for critical operations, SafetyNet IO Modules are certified for use in SIL 2 safety-related applications. Their certification guarantees high levels of reliability and performance, ensuring the modules can operate within demanding industrial environments. By combining mechanical strength with advanced functionality, SafetyNet IO Modules offer an effective solution for enhancing safety system architectures, helping facilities maintain both operational efficiency and compliance with stringent safety standards.
