A: While the 5mm probe utilizes smaller packaging to fit physical space constraints (like thrust pads), it does not reduce sideview clearances or tip-to-tip spacing compared to an 8mm probe. Since XL 8mm probes feature a thicker PPS tip encapsulation and a larger diameter body, they are much more rugged against physical abuse and should be chosen unless physical constraints strictly require a 5mm body.
Q2: What is the maximum recommended tightening torque for installing this metric M8x1 probe case?
A: The recommended installation torque for the probe case body is 5.1 N·m (45 in·lb), with a strict maximum limit of 7.3 N·m (65 in·lb). Exceeding this torque spec can deform the threads or damage the internal casing, which is not covered under the manufacturer's product warranty.
Q3: What happens to the system's operational parameters if the input supply voltage drops below -23.5 Vdc?
