Siemens 6GK5408-8GS00-2AM2 is the SCALANCE XM408-8C managed modular Industrial Ethernet switch. It provides eight 10/100/1000 Mbit/s RJ45 ports and eight 100/1000 Mbit/s SFP positions arranged as eight combo ports, with eight ports usable at one time. The modular architecture can be expanded to 24 electrical or optical ports. It supports PROFINET IO device functions, redundancy features and common managed-network functions including RSTP, VLAN and IGMP. A C-PLUG is included, while Layer 3 capability is available through the appropriate Key-Plug. System topology and module selection require engineering review.
