Compatibility and Performance Considerations for 3300 XL 8 mm Components
The 3300 XL 8 mm components are designed to be fully interchangeable, both electrically and physically, with non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm components. While the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor features updated external packaging, it maintains backward compatibility by utilizing the same 4-hole mounting pattern when installed with its corresponding 4-hole mounting base. This design ensures that the sensor fits within the original mounting space specifications, provided the minimum allowable cable bend radius is carefully observed during installation. However, it is important to note that mixing XL and non-XL components within a single system will constrain the overall performance to the specifications of the non-XL 3300 Transducer System. Therefore, while interoperability is supported for flexibility and upgrades, optimal performance is achieved only when all components are from the same XL or non-XL series.
