3300 XL ETR System: High-Temperature Monitoring Solution
The Bently Nevada 3300 XL Extended Temperature Range (ETR) system provides specialized monitoring capabilities for extreme thermal environments where standard components would fail. The ETR probe withstands temperatures up to 218°C (425°F), while the companion ETR extension cable endures even harsher conditions up to 260°C (500°F) - significantly exceeding the standard 177°C (350°F) limit. Designed for backward compatibility, these high-temperature components work seamlessly with standard 3300 XL Proximitor sensors and conventional cables (like the 330130 extension cable), offering installation flexibility. However, system accuracy becomes limited to ETR specifications when any ETR component is incorporated. This solution proves invaluable for hot machinery sections in gas turbines, high-temperature compressors, and other thermal-intensive applications. The ETR system maintains Bently Nevada's signature reliability while addressing unique challenges in extreme heat conditions, ensuring continuous machinery protection where conventional monitoring systems would be compromised. By combining specialized materials with proven eddy-current technology, this system delivers critical vibration and position data from environments that would disable standard monitoring components, supporting predictive maintenance in the most demanding industrial applications.
