Enhanced Design and Installation of the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor
The 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor represents a significant advancement with numerous improvements over its predecessors. Its versatile physical packaging supports high-density DIN-rail installations while maintaining backward compatibility through a traditional panel-mount configuration that shares the same four-hole mounting footprint as older models. This dual-mounting capability is complemented by an integrated mounting base that provides built-in electrical isolation, eliminating the need for separate isolator plates and simplifying the assembly process. A key engineering enhancement is its superior immunity to radio frequency interference (RFI/EMI), which allows for installation in non-metallic enclosures like fiberglass housings without performance degradation. This robust RFI performance meets European CE mark requirements without necessitating expensive shielded conduit, thereby reducing both installation costs and complexity. Furthermore, the innovative SpringLoc terminal strips facilitate quicker and more reliable field wiring by replacing traditional screw-type clamps that are prone to loosening over time, ensuring secure connections without requiring special tools.
