Performance and Compatibility of 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer Systems
The 3300 XL 8 mm transducer system generates an output voltage precisely proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the target surface, enabling accurate measurement of both static position and dynamic vibration. Its primary applications include vibration and position monitoring on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements. This system represents the most advanced performance level among Bently Nevada's eddy current proximity transducers and fully complies with the API 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. A significant advantage is the complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need for component matching or bench calibration. Furthermore, all 3300 XL 8 mm system components maintain backward compatibility with non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer components, including the smaller 5 mm probe designed for space-constrained mounting applications.
