A2: Connect the probe to the Proximitor loop and monitor the DC Voltage output using a digital multimeter. For standard AISI 4140 steel targets, aim for a mid-scale voltage of -10.0 Vdc (which equates to roughly a 1.0 mm or 40 mil physical gap between the probe tip and target surface). 

Q3: What should I do if the monitoring system reports a "NOT OK" fault status?

A3: First, turn off power and check the ClickLoc connection for fluid ingress or physical looseness. Use a multimeter to measure the center-to-outer conductor resistance on the probe cable; a standard 0.5-meter probe should show a nominal DC resistance between 7.0 and 8.0 ohms.
