PCIE-8361 Functional Description

The NI MXI-Express Device for PXI Remote Control PCIE-8361 is a key component within NI's MXI-Express interface kits. This board enables a desktop computer to directly control a PXI Express system via a cabled PCI Express link, providing transparent software control.

Installed in a PC's PCIe slot, the PCIE-8361 copper MXI-Express interface card connects to an NI PCIE-8361 PCI Express mainframe in a PXI Express chassis. This setup makes all PXI and PXI Express modules appear as local PCI devices to the host computer.

The link established by the Class A equipment PCIE-8361 NI offers a sustained throughput of up to 110 MB/s for a single chassis. It maintains full software compatibility with existing PCI applications, requiring no modifications.

Featuring a single x1 Gen1 PCI Express host link, the National Instruments PCIE-8361 in stock provides rugged, copper cable connectivity.
