DSA Remote Server Enabler
A DSA Remote Server Enabler is a specialized license that allows automation servers to subscribe to real-time data within a Distributed System Architecture (DSA) environment. This functionality enables seamless data exchange between multiple servers across a network, creating a unified operational view of distributed processes. The enabler permits one server or redundant server pair to subscribe to data published by multiple remote servers, typically supporting connections to up to 10-14 source servers depending on configuration. It eliminates data silos by facilitating secure, reliable data sharing between different areas of plant operations without requiring custom interfaces. This capability is essential for enterprise-wide monitoring, centralized historical data collection, and cross-system control strategies. The enabler maintains data integrity and security while ensuring timely synchronization between publishing and subscribing servers, making it ideal for large-scale industrial automation systems where integrated data access is critical for operational efficiency and decision-making across multiple production units or geographically dispersed facilities.
