990 Vibration Transmitter Overview
The Bently Nevada 990 Vibration Transmitter is designed primarily for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) producing centrifugal air compressors, small pumps, motors, and fans. It enables these manufacturers to integrate a straightforward 4–20 mA proportional vibration signal directly into their machinery control systems. As a two-wire, loop-powered device, it accepts input from the 3300 NSv proximity probe along with compatible extension cables, available in 5-meter or 7-meter system lengths. The transmitter processes raw sensor data into industry-standard peak-to-peak vibration amplitude measurements, delivering a proportional 4–20 mA output signal. This output seamlessly interfaces with control systems to support critical machinery protection functions, including alarm triggering and logic-based monitoring, ensuring reliable and accurate operational oversight.
