Key Features of the 990 Vibration Transmitter
The Bently Nevada 990 Vibration Transmitter offers several advanced features for robust machinery monitoring. It incorporates an integrated Proximitor sensor, eliminating the need for an external unit. For diagnostic purposes, it provides a dynamic vibration and gap voltage signal output via non-isolated "PROX OUT" and "COM" terminals plus a coaxial connector. The device includes non-interacting zero and span potentiometers located under the transmitter label for straightforward loop adjustment. A dedicated Test Input pin allows quick verification of the loop signal output using a function generator. Additionally, a Not OK/Signal Defeat circuit prevents high outputs or false alarms caused by a faulty proximity probe or loose connection. The transmitter supports flexible installation with a choice of DIN-rail clips or bulkhead mounting screws included as standard options.
