Analog I/O Modules
The analog I/O modules with integrated HART communication capability establish continuous dialogue with smart field devices, collecting both process variables (4-20mA) and HART digital data (device status, diagnostics). These values are stored in the module's dedicated I/O image memory area, creating a unified data repository. The Field Control Station (FCS) accesses this information through standard function blocks, enabling engineers to utilize HART variables identically to conventional I/O signals - simplifying programming while maximizing smart device capabilities. This architecture maintains signal integrity through complete electrical isolation while supporting hot-swap maintenance. Typical applications include predictive maintenance implementations where both analog values and device health data are crucial for operational decisions. The modules support HART 7 protocol and comply with IEC 62591 standards for industrial communication.
