Trusted TMR System
A Trusted TMR System is certified for use for applications up to SIL 3 for subsections of the system using low density Input / Output (I/O). SIL is defined in IEC 61508/IEC 61511 as one of four possible discrete levels for specifying the safety integrity requirements of the safety functions to be allocated to the safety-related system. SIL 4 system has the highest level of safety integrity; SIL 1 system has the lowest. However, IEC 61508/IEC 61511 requires that the complete installation meet these requirements in order to achieve an overall SIL. The system covered by this manual forms only a part of such requirements. Trusted interfacing systems that have CS300, SC300E and Regent I/O Low Density modules are certified as non-interfering to the Trusted System but retain the German Industrial Standard; Deutsche Industrie-Norm (DIN) certification, which is referenced as DIN19250/AK5/AK6 certification of the original Triguard, Regent and Regent+Plus I/O system.
