T8300 Functional Description 

The ICS Triplex T8300 Intel Cpu Core 2 Duo is a flagship high-integrity safety system renowned for its industry-leading reliability, compact design, and exceptional fault-tolerant capabilities. As part of the Trusted™ product line, the mobile processor T8300 ICS Triplex  is engineered for applications requiring SIL3 certification, offering one of the smallest footprints in its class—making it ideal for installations where space is at a premium.

A key feature of the T8300 Trusted Triplex Controller is its use of the advanced RunSafe™ 3-3-2-0 fault-tolerant architecture. This approach virtually eliminates spurious trips, significantly enhances system availability, and ensures continuous process control even in the presence of hardware faults. This design also contributes to the lowest total cost of ownership among SIL3-rated safety systems.

The chassis design includes 2 x 30 mm Trusted Expander Processor slots and 12 x 30 mm single-width I/O module slots. It supports DIN 41612 I/O port connectors with 32, 48, 64, and 96-way capabilities. Convection cooling ensures efficient thermal management, while modular construction allows for quick assembly with minimal tools or additional parts required.

The T8300 High-Performance Automation Module also supports multiple cable entry options and is optimized for fast deployment and maintenance-free operation. With no user-serviceable internal parts, the system is ideal for mission-critical safety applications.
