IC695CRU320 Functional Description
The IC695CRU320 CPU Module General Electric is a high-availability Redundancy CPU module designed for the PACSystems RX3i platform. Its primary function is to form a robust hot-standby controller system, significantly enhancing operational uptime for critical industrial processes. In this configuration, two identical racks operate in tandem, with one Redundancy CPU IC695CRU320 General Electric serving as the active primary processor and the other as a synchronized secondary unit, ensuring continuous system availability.
A key feature of the CPU Processor Module IC695CRU320 is its exceptionally fast switchover capability, which occurs within a maximum of one logic scan or a minimum of 3.133 milliseconds.
This rapid transition is facilitated by high-speed synchronization links, capable of transferring up to 2MB of data to keep the secondary processor updated. The powerful 1GHz Celeron M processor and 64MB of user memory in the GE Fanuc RX3i PACSytems IC695CRU320 enable it to handle large and complex automation applications with ease, supporting up to 512 program blocks.
The module installs directly into a PCI slot on the RX3i backplane, enabling high-speed data exchange with other I/O modules. This architecture also provides flexibility by supporting legacy Series 90-30 I/O modules for phased system migration. The General Electric Redundancy Processor IC695CRU320 further offers integrated serial ports for RS-232/485 communications and is programmed using standard languages like Ladder Logic and C. The design of the General Electric IC695CRU320 prioritizes maximum fault tolerance, making it an ideal solution for industries where uninterrupted control is paramount.

Front-Access LED Indicators for Enhanced System Diagnostics
The General Electric IC695CRU320 CPU module features a strategically designed chassis that prioritizes user accessibility for monitoring and troubleshooting. A key aspect of this design is the inclusion of eight indicator LEDs conveniently located on the front panel. This layout ensures clear visibility and easy access to critical status information. Among these LEDs, six are dedicated to specific system functions: CPU OK, Run, Outputs Enabled, I/O Force, Battery, and Sys Flt (System Fault). The remaining two LEDs, labeled COM 1 and COM 2, are associated with the status of their respective serial communication ports. The function of most indicators is self-explanatory, providing an immediate overview of the processor's state. For instance, the I/O Force LED specifically illuminates when a bit reference override is active, alerting the operator to a forced I/O condition. By consolidating all status indicators and both serial ports on the front, the General Electric IC695CRU320 chassis offers significant maintenance advantages, allowing personnel to quickly assess system health and diagnose issues without physical reorientation of the hardware. This thoughtful design minimizes downtime and streamlines diagnostic procedures.
