11 mm Proximity Transducer System: Extended Range Applications
The Bently Nevada 11 mm Proximity Transducer System delivers a 3.94 V/mm (100 mV/mil) output for non-contacting vibration and displacement measurements on fluid film bearing machines. Its large 11 mm probe tip provides a significantly longer linear range compared to the standard 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System, making it ideal for applications requiring extended measurement capabilities. This enhanced range ensures accurate data collection in critical scenarios where standard probes would be insufficient.
The system is specifically designed for axial (thrust) position measurements, ramp differential expansion monitoring on steam turbines, and rod position or rod drop detection on reciprocating compressors. It also supports tachometer and zero-speed measurements, along with phase reference (Keyphasor) signal applications. These functionalities make it indispensable for advanced machinery protection in industries where precision, reliability, and extended measurement ranges are essential for operational safety and efficiency.
