Extended Temperature Range Capabilities of Bently Nevada 3300 XL Systems
The Bently Nevada 3300 XL series offers Extended Temperature Range (ETR) probes and extension cables for applications exceeding standard thermal limits. While standard components operate up to 177°C (350°F), the ETR probe withstands temperatures up to 218°C (425°F), and the ETR cable extends this capability further to 260°C (500°F). These high-temperature components remain fully compatible with standard probes and cables, allowing flexible system configurations—for example, an ETR probe can be paired with a standard 330130 extension cable. However, when integrating any ETR element, the overall system accuracy is constrained by the ETR component’s specifications, as they determine the performance threshold. Both ETR probes and cables work seamlessly with the standard 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor, ensuring reliable vibration monitoring in extreme environments such as gas turbines, steam systems, and other high-heat industrial applications. This extended thermal resilience enhances system durability while maintaining critical machinery protection in demanding operating conditions.
