Backward Compatibility of Bently Nevada 3300 XL Vibration Monitoring Components
The Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8mm vibration monitoring system maintains full electrical and mechanical compatibility with legacy non-XL 3300 series components (both 5mm and 8mm versions), ensuring seamless system upgrades and replacements. While featuring updated packaging designs, the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor retains identical 4-hole mounting patterns when used with standard mounting bases, preserving original installation footprints and spatial requirements provided minimum cable bend radii are maintained. However, when mixing XL and non-XL components within the same 5mm or 8mm transducer system, the overall system performance will default to the lower specifications of the original non-XL 3300 series.
