Proximitor Sensor Calibration and Application Guidelines
One-meter 3300 XL proximity systems are designed to operate without an extension cable, simplifying installation and reducing potential signal loss. By default, all Proximitor sensors are factory-calibrated to AISI 4140 steel, ensuring accurate and consistent measurements immediately upon installation. This standard calibration provides a reliable baseline for monitoring shaft displacement and vibration, critical for the protection and predictive maintenance of rotating machinery. For applications requiring different target materials, custom calibration can be requested to maintain precise measurement accuracy.
