2094-BM02-S Functional Description
The Kinetix 6000 Axis Module Allen-Bradley 2094-BM02-S is a multi-axis module within the Kinetix 6000 servo drive system, featuring integrated Safe-Torque Off (STO) safety functionality certified for SIL 3 and PLe applications. This ROCKWELL 2094-BM02-S Servo Drive supports up to seven axes per 8-axis power rail, offering high-performance motion control with a velocity loop bandwidth of 500 Hz and a current loop frequency of 1300 Hz.
Operating at a nominal input voltage of 650VDC, the 2094-BM02-S multi-axis module Allen-Bradley provides a continuous current of 10.3 A (RMS) and 14.6 A (sine peak). It supports peak enhancement, allowing the inverter current rating to increase from 150% to 250%, making it suitable for applications requiring rapid acceleration and deceleration. The module operates at 98% efficiency and includes a 115 Ohm internal shunt resistor.
Proper installation of the AXIS MODULE 2094-BM02-S Allen-Bradley requires adequate clearance for airflow and a minimum cabinet depth of 10.7 inches. Unshielded cables should be kept short, and shunt power cables must be separated from sensitive signals. The use of circuit breakers or fuses is recommended to protect against short circuits and ensure operational safety.
The Servo Drive Allen-Bradley 2094-BM02-S enhances system reliability by disabling motor torque during faults without shutting down the entire drive, reducing downtime and energy waste. After programming, thorough testing is essential to verify correct configuration and ensure successful integration into the motion control system.

Axis Module
An axis module is a critical component in advanced motion control systems, designed to manage the precise movement of individual or multiple motor-driven axes in industrial automation applications. These modules integrate seamlessly with servo drives and controllers to provide coordinated motion, high-speed processing, and real-time feedback. They often feature built-in safety functions such as Safe Torque Off (STO) and support high dynamic performance with flexible peak current capabilities. Compact and modular in design, axis modules help reduce cabinet space, simplify wiring, and improve overall system scalability and reliability. They are essential in applications requiring synchronization, accuracy, and efficiency, from packaging machinery to robotic systems.
