Digital Output Module
A Digital Relay Output Module is an industrial interface device that connects a control system like a PLC to higher-power field devices using electromechanical relays. It converts low-voltage logic signals into isolated on/off outputs capable of switching AC or DC loads such as motors, solenoids, lamps, and alarms. These modules provide strong electrical isolation between the sensitive controller and noisy power circuits, enhancing system safety and reliability. Typical specifications include support for load voltages up to 250V AC or 125V DC, currents around 2A per channel, and LED status indicators. Designed for durability, they often offer long mechanical and electrical service life, with common configurations including 8 or 16 points per module. Digital relay output modules are widely used in automation, machinery control, and building management systems for robust and flexible load switching.
