FC-IOCHAS-0003S Functional Description
The Single Channel Control FC-IOCHAS-0003S is a high-reliability I/O chassis designed to support redundant input/output modules in safety-critical industrial applications. Built for seamless integration with Honeywell Safety Manager systems, it enhances fault tolerance by maintaining uninterrupted operation through hot standby redundancy, ensuring system availability even during primary module failure.
Supporting up to 8 I/O channels, the FC-IOCHAS-0003S I/O Module Honeywell is compatible with both 0–20mA and 4–20mA input and output signals. It communicates via the MODBUS RTU protocol, enabling smooth integration into distributed control architectures. With input power rated at 5 VDC (max. 2.56 A per slot) and output power at 24 VDC (max. 2 A for up to 54 slots), it is optimized for stable and efficient signal processing.
Engineered for demanding environments, the FC Series Safety Manager Honeywell FC-IOCHAS-0003S operates reliably within a temperature range of -20°C to +55°C, with a maximum surrounding temperature tolerance up to 70°C. It supports a humidity range of 5% to 95% RH (non-condensing), making it suitable for various industrial climates.
