Importantly, the system includes a fundamental safety override where outputs will invariably revert to zero—the designated safe state—in the event of complete module electronics failure. This layered approach to output management ensures appropriate responses to varying fault scenarios, balancing process stability needs with essential safety requirements in critical control applications.
