IS215REBFH1B Functional Description
The General Electric IS215REBFH1B I/O EXPANSION BOARD is an essential safety component in Mark VIe turbine control systems, designed to deliver fail-safe operation in power generation applications. This robust relay module features 16 Form-C contact outputs with 5kV optical isolation, ensuring secure switching even in electrically noisy environments. The Circuit Board GE IS215REBFH1B operates reliably across an extensive temperature range from -40°C to +70°C while meeting stringent MIL-STD-202G vibration standards, making it ideal for installation in turbine control cabinets and other critical power plant locations.
Engineered for maximum system availability, the I/O EXPANSION BOARD IS215REBFH1B GE incorporates hot-swappable functionality that allows for maintenance without disrupting turbine operations. Its high-speed relay switching capability (≤10ms) provides immediate response to protection signals, while the optical isolation prevents ground loops and ensures signal integrity. Maintenance teams particularly value the module's diagnostic LEDs and built-in test capabilities, which simplify troubleshooting and reduce downtime during critical operations.
The Mark VIe GE IS215REBFH1B's advanced design addresses the unique demands of turbine protection systems through redundant power inputs and fail-safe contact configurations. Its compact form factor optimizes panel space while maintaining service accessibility. These features make the General Electric IS215REBFH1B particularly valuable for gas turbine emergency shutdown systems, steam turbine overspeed protection, and other safety-critical applications where reliability is non-negotiable.
As part of GE's comprehensive Mark VIe turbine control solution, the General Electric IS215REBFH1B PDF continues to set industry standards for protection relay performance. Its combination of high-density relay outputs, superior isolation characteristics, and environmental durability establishes it as the preferred choice for engineers implementing robust safety strategies in modern power generation facilities worldwide.

MARK VIE I/O MODULES (I/O CARD & PACK)
Mark VIe I/O modules have three common components: a termination block for field wiring, a terminal board, and I/O pack(s). Modules are DIN rail mounted. Wide gauge wiring eliminates marshalling and lowers costs. Each I/O pack contains two IONet ports and a local processor with a real-time clock synchronized for 1ms time-stamping in the sequence-of-events (SOE) function available on all discrete inputs and outputs. This feature allows customers to select SOE with the click of a button, without the complexity and expense of dedicated SOE hardware or programming special logic into application code. I/O diagnostics and voting are performed at the pack level. Simplex I/O modules have one I/O pack mounted on the termina board; TMR I/O modules have three I/O packs mounted to a common terminal board. I/O redundancy is a single selection during hardware configuration, and is transparent to the application code.
