8851-LC-MT Functional Description
The General Electric 8851-LC-MT SafetyNet Controller is a high-performance SafetyNet Controller designed for SIL2 safety applications, making it a critical part of modern industrial safety systems. As a key addition to the MTL Open Systems product family, the MT Module General Electric 8851-LC-MT shares its platform with existing Process Control solutions, allowing compatibility with the same field terminals, I/O module carriers, and power supplies.
Built for reliable performance, the 8851-LC-MT General Electric PLC Module supports up to 64 I/O modules and is powered by a dual-core redundant processor. With a scan time of under 10 milliseconds and 2 MB of flash memory, it ensures fast and accurate safety monitoring and response. The controller also includes data logging for up to 1,000 events.
Operating on a 24V DC supply and consuming a maximum of 15W, the 8851-LC-MT General Electric PDF is ideal for demanding environments, functioning efficiently within a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C. It is designed for robust field use, with high tolerance for humidity and extended storage conditions.
