Differential Expansion Measurement Method


Differential expansion measurement uses two proximity transducers observing a collar or ramp near the thrust bearing. The 3300 XL 50 mm Transducer's long linear range enables two critical mounting arrangements.

Same-Side Monitoring: Two transducers observe the same side of a collar for standard measurement.

Opposite-Side Configuration: Complementary transducers observe opposite sides of a collar, effectively doubling the measurable differential expansion range.
