1771-OA Functional Description
The Allen-Bradley PLC-5 SERIES 1771-OA is an AC output module compatible with PLC-5 systems, featuring eight output channels operating at 92-138V AC. Each channel delivers 1.5A continuous current with a surge capability of 4A for 8.3ms. The Digital Output Module AB 1771-OA total output doesn't exceed 6A, making it suitable for controlling various industrial devices.
This ROCKWELL AC Output Module 1771-OA efficiently drives solenoid valves, indicator lights, and audible alarms in industrial environments. It can also energize magnetic contactors and relays commonly found in control panels. The module requires only one slot in 1771 I/O chassis and draws 210mA at 5V DC from the backplane.
Installation of the Machine Control 1771-OA AB requires proper module keying between positions 4-6 or 12-14. It supports 14-22 AWG wiring with 75°C rating and includes built-in 2A/250V fuses. Eight status indicators display output states, while a separate fuse condition indicator alerts users to blown fuses.
The 1771-OA Digital Output Module Allen Bradley ensures reliable operation with minimal leakage current (5mA max) when off. Its robust design handles industrial applications while maintaining safety - remember to disconnect power before module removal.
